Maintenance Engineer

MacGregor Recruitment are specialist recruiters for the fenestration sector. We are pleased to be recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer on behalf of our client, a successful and expanding manufacturer of windows and doors based in Norwich.

The role:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will help ensure that the plant machinery is in good, safe working order, and reduce loss of production issues where machinery needs attention. You will;

• Support the business by carrying out planned maintenance to a range of CNC machines, saws and other equipment
• Swiftly deal with emergency breakdown, doing repairs as required
• Relocating and calibrating machinery
• General site maintenance
• Support with welding and occasional fabrication

Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience of electrical & mechanical engineering within a manufacturing environment is essential
• Specific experience of working with and repairing window fabrication machinery is highly desirable

Package

The role is offered with an anticipated salary of circa £40k

Initial induction and training will be on day shifts, however the role will primarily be to work on the late shift (3PM – midnight Monday to Thursday and 3Pm to 7 PM on Fridays)
