Stock Control Manager

MacGregor Recruitment are recruiting for a Stock Control Manager on behalf of an established manufacturer and supplier of windows, doors and conservatories to trade. Based in the South Normanton/Kirkby on Ashfied area and reporting to the Commercial Director, the role is to manage the stock and materials for the site. 

As Stock Control Manager you will work closely with the Purchasing Manager and help develop the procurement and stock control function for the site.  A hands on role you will deliver stock takes and PI count checks, forecast stock requirements, manage and reduce stock levels and manage the day day inventory to ensure that the levels of stock and demand are forecasted correctly. 

You will also help to identify opportunities for cost savings and supplier rationalisation to deliver targeted cost savings whilst ensuring a best practice stock control function and supply chain experience.  

Skills and experience:

• Previous buying/purchasing experience that includes sourcing, negotiation and driving improvements through systems, people, and processes
• Experience within a manufacturing environment is essential - Fenestration sector is highly desirable but not essential
• A sound understanding of what ‘best practice’ looks like and an ability to engage others on this approach
• Purchasing/CIPS qualification and/or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Good people and communication skills, organised and accurate in approach

A salary of £40-45k depending on experience and 5 weeks annual leave plus statutory. 37.5 hour working week.
